To us, there’s nothing better in life than an evening with good friends and good drinks. We created prost!cards to help memorialize those times. Think of them as cardboard bookmarks in the pages of life – the pages you want to refer to again. They’re intended as reminders of special times, and as thank-yous to the people who made them special.

Limited Editions

Prost!cards are printed in strictly limited editions as a way to keep the line fresh and up-to-date. When we sell out of a particular design, it will never be repeated again.

Every illustration commissioned in 2009 will have no more than 10,000 copies printed. That means the card you give today may not be available next year, or even next month. Every card is about a specific moment in time, just like the occasion it celebrates.

A Little History …

We started making cards because a bottle of liquor or wine, by itself, seemed like a very impersonal way to say thank-you for a dinner or party invitation. Hanging a card around the bottle was just a hands-free way of connecting our name to our gift. And printing the card on a coaster? That idea was born during a Friday 2-for-1 happy hour at a favorite restaurant.

…And a Little Vocabulary

“Prost” is German for “Cheers.” We’re not actually German, but we wanted to pay homage to the land where we had our first taste of alcohol, and no one asked us for ID.

(Plus, to be honest, we just thought “prost!card” had a nice ring to it.)
